Maintenance & Care Tips

Regular Maintenance
Maintenance work is essential to ensure the optimal functionality of your equipment. It is advisable to assign an employee the responsibility for these tasks. Only through continuous maintenance and care can you maintain your claim to the factory warranty. Ensure that the device is always disconnected from the power supply during maintenance work.
Placement of Refrigeration Equipment
When placing a refrigeration unit, certain criteria should be observed:
-
Avoid placing the unit near heat sources or in overly warm rooms.
-
Refrigeration units should not be placed near open doors or in the draft of air conditioners or ventilation systems.
-
Ensure that the intake and exhaust grilles have enough space to provide optimal ventilation for the unit.
Care of Refrigeration Equipment
Regular maintenance of refrigeration units is crucial to maintain performance and extend their lifespan. Detailed instructions can be found in the device's user manual.
-
Regular defrosting is necessary. If a thick layer of ice forms on the bars, it is time to defrost the unit. Ice formation impairs cooling performance as it insulates the cooling elements and increases energy consumption.
-
After defrosting, clean the unit with a mixture of water and a spoonful of baking soda. For the final cleaning, use fresh water with a little vinegar. Then let the unit dry thoroughly. The cooling elements can also be rubbed with glycerin.
Care of Stainless Steel Equipment
Our stainless steel products are manufactured with the highest precision. To ensure their longevity, regular care is also required. Here are some tips:
-
Inspection: Please check the product for any damage upon receipt and inform the supplier immediately. Keep the packaging in case of damage.
-
Cleaning: Stainless steel is very easy to care for. Regular cleaning with water and mild dish soap is sufficient to avoid stains or lime deposits. Stubborn stains, such as residues from tea bags or coffee filters, can be removed with a liquid cleaner. (Avoid using abrasive cleaners!) Rinse with lukewarm water after cleaning and dry the unit thoroughly.
-
Cutting: Stainless steel work surfaces can get scratched with intensive use. Use cutting boards to protect the surface.
-
Heat Resistance: Place hot pans on trivets to avoid unsightly blue or brown stains on the stainless steel.
-
Cleaning Agents: Most household cleaning agents are unproblematic for stainless steel. However, avoid contact with strong acids, alkalis, or paint strippers. If the material comes into contact with such substances, rinse it thoroughly with water.
